There are times you would use have and had together in the same sentence.

We use them together when using the present perfect tense.

The present perfect tense is a common tense in English. It shows that an action was complete before the present time.

Examples

1. I have had a lot of fun this weekend.
2. I have had lunch already.
3. Have you got your books for school? (Answer) Yes I have got my books.
