Well, I'm conducting a mini-research about that issue now.

This situation happens when they have a non-english speaking environment.

In my university, even among TESL students, they don't use English to communicate. Why? Because they are afraid of making mistakes, and they feel that they will sound silly when they speak in English.

Obviously, they lack confidence and self-esteem.

Now, my objective is, I want to encourage them to use English as their medium of communication everywhere, every time, and whomever they are speaking to.

I hope we can share some information regarding this issue.

But first, I need you do give me a bit more data.

Is he currently in an English speaking country campus or not?

How do you know he is unwilling? Please explain the situation.
