Use of "Have Had" Together

by Chanchal
(Delhi India)

Is the sentence "Have you have your meal?" correct?

Ola's answer:

No, it is not.

It is in the present perfect tense, and the form is:

HAVE + V3 (Verb 3, third form of the verb)

For example: "I have seen it before."

Or in a question: "Have I seen it before?"

So, according to this, your sentences should be as follows:

"Have you had your meal?" (HAD = V3 of HAVE)
