A glossary is a list of words/terms and their meanings, especially on a particular subject, or in a particular book.

In this glossary we will explain some of the words and terms relating to COOKING.

So we'll start with these words, and add some more in the future:




CookCook
To prepare food by heating it, for example by boiling, baking or frying.












BoilBoil
To cook food in boiling water. Boiling water is water that is so hot it has bubbles inside.









BakeBake
To cook food in an oven, using dry heat.













FryFry
To cook food in oil or fat.














RoastRoast
To cook food with dry heat in an oven or over a fire.
